Imagine that you go for a trip. Far away. Let's say Australia. You take a suitacase, pack the necessities and off you go. You go by ship. You get your tiny room. Well, of course it would be much nicer if it's bigger. After all you are going to spend a few weeks there. You don't like the colours either. And the bathroom... It would be more comfy to have a bathtub. And of course there is not enough storage room. Where are you supposed to put all your stuff???
What do you do? Are you asking the crew to repaint the walls? Will you redecorate it the way YOU want it to look like? Are you going to buy some cupboards? A wardrobe? Bathtub with Jacuzzi? Ask them to SHIP it to the duty free shop on board?
Now imagine that this whole journey is your life. Australia is your Final Destination. Do you keep on thinking what to do to make this few weeks trip the best it could be or do you focus on your destination?
Now, the land is close. Obviously the ship can't just moor on the beach. So some passengers get a flashy motorboat and get to the coast really fast, some are taken into crowded safety boats, others catch any floating thing they can find and desperately try to swim across praying that their legs are not bitten off by the sharks.
Another problem with this trip is that when you are there, in the middle of the ocean, you dont really know where you are. Australia might be weeks away or you may get there tomorrow. You don't have a map, you just trust the Navigator...
After some time on the ship it's so easy to lose focus and get involved in the Dunya too much thinking only about redecorating your cabin and applying for a bigger and better...
